A smart home -

Listens to you, sees you, detects your motions, learns your habits and does all this in order to meet your needs for comfort, information, entertainment, security and cost.  The technology is available today to provide you a smart home.  Why don't you have it?  Because it is still in what I call the "hobby" stage.  It takes an individual dedicated to discovering all the ins and outs of many different technologies to create a smart home.  If I can cut down your learning time then I have accomplished my purpose.

Recently 17 companies got together to form the Digital Home Working Group. http://www.dhwg.org/memberlinks.asp  They hope to establish a set of standards for digital information in the home.  A needed step prior to most major companies jumping in with products.

I am reviewing the Home seer software now.  But if you go to the Smart home site you can see a number of products that are going into smart homes.  Of course if you buy something, we get a small percentage.

They started with great speakers but now offer some of the best home entertainment products around.
